On 14 February 2012 Rangers entered administration over non-payment of £9 million in PAYE and VAT taxes to HM Revenue and Customs. On entering administration the team was deducted 10 points by the SPL, effectively ending its 2012 championship challenge. Rangers have not submitted accounts for 2011 and were not granted a licence to play in European football in season 2012–2013. HM Revenue and Customs voted against a Company Voluntary Arrangement. In June 2012 it was announced that Rangers would be liquidated by insolvency practitioners BDO, following the rejection of the CVA. The club's assets would be sold off and the conduct of previous directors examined by the authorities. Rangers' assets were purchased on 14 June by Charles Green for £5.5 million, despite a last minute bid of £6 million from former manager Walter Smith. Green announced the new company, called The Rangers Football Club, had put in an application to register with the Scottish Football Association and aimed to participate in the Scottish Premier League.
5.5M英镑被买下,球队资产被清算来还债。我是个苏格兰足球迷,这下不知道什么时候再看到老字号德比了 |
