Fiorentina captain Dario Dainelli has said goodbye to teammates and fans as he completes his transfer to Genoa.

“Iwant to salute everyone,” he told the official club website. “I saidgoodbye to the lads and I’m sorry to go. I’ve been here six years, fiveof them as captain, and I am so proud to have gone through thisexperience.

“It was an honour and of course I can’t help but be sorry to leave, but in football you sometimes need to make decisions.

“I was moved when talking to my teammates and I’m moved now, talking to all of you,” continued Dainelli in a video message.
