Udinese general director Pietro Leonardi has categorically denied that defender Cristian Zapata is heading away from the club this summer.

Many clubs have been linked to Zapata during this season, including Juventus, Inter, Milan and Real Madrid. However, according to media reports, Fiorentina are the frontrunners to sign him up.
But Leonardi told Fiorenzeviola.it,“Even I read this news
on the newspapers, but I say it with sincerity: no one called me up from Florence to have information on our players and in particular for Zapata, these are just rumours.
“The lad has a contract with Udinese until 2013. We cannot do more than this. I think that the club’s position is quite clear with regards to the player.”
