Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is confident that a rosy future lies ahead for the club and he has stated that he has no intention of going elsewhere, despite often being criticised by the Stadio Franchi faithful this season.

“I have never thought about leaving, I want to succeed and win here, because I know that I can achieve something with these colours and we can play on a par with the top sides,” the 24-year-old said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We are challenging for a Champions League spot for the fourth successive season and we are growing year after year.

“It would be wonderful to help Fiorentina win their third Scudetto. I am sure we are on the right path. It’s hard to say how long it will take, maybe five or six years, hopefully before I turn 30. I’d be too old then!”
