The Peruvian international has been linked with a move away from Florence in the past few weeks, but the player maintains that something got lost in translation...29 Mar 2009 08:15:24Fiorentina wing-back Juan Manuel Vargas has gone out of his way to categorically deny the news that appeared in the press of his home country, Peru, stating that he wants to leave the club this summer.
Vargas attributed this speculation to a translation mistake made by the Peruvian news agencies and therefore wanted to reassure the Viola fans that his future lies with them.
"In Florence, I feel tranquil, even though at first I needed a phase to adapt myself," declared the former Catania player to Il Tempo.
"Here in Peru, it often happens that news and information which are reported in Italy are translated wrongly, but I feel fine at Fiorentina."
Vargas has played 20 league games so far for Fiorentina, following his move last summer from Catania, and even though he disappointed at first, he seems to be improving lately.
