<>arma defender Daniele Bonera has confirmed that Fiorentina are pondering a swoop for his services.

<>The Italian international is expected to be sold this summer and the Viola are one of a number of clubs interested.

<>"I am here waiting for news but I think it could take some time," admitted the former Brescia stopper.

<>Bonera has seen teammate Sebastien Frey already move to Tuscany on loan but he’s ruled out a similar deal for himself.

"I know that there has been contact with Parma regarding a loan move but I don’t think the club would accept that," he continued.

"Parma are looking for money. It’s up to the club to decide and hopefully there could be developments next week.

"However, I start pre-season training with Parma on Wednesday and I therefore can do nothing but wait."

The 23-year-old is one of Italy’s most promising defenders after greatly impressing at Under-21 level.

Bonera can play as a centre-back as well as a right-back and is currently the Azzurri’s first-choice on the flank.
