DE SILVESTRI: 5,5. Si fa male durante il riscaldamento. Ma scende in campo stringendo i denti. Non incide e viene sostituito poco prima della fine del primo tempo.
42'st COMOTTO: 5. Si vede poco, svolge il suo compitino senza incidere. Nel finale butta via due palloni in malo modo.
KROLDRUP: 6. Tagliato come tutta la difesa viola in occasione del gol di Pastore. Cresce molo nella ripresa chiudendo un paio di occasioni pericolosissime del Palermo.
GAMBERINI: 5,5. Anche lui colpevole sulle rete del 2 a 0 del Palermo. Gli attaccanti rosanero lasciano pochi punti di riferimento e la difesa viola soffre. Un po' meglio nella ripresa come tutta la squadra.
PASQUAL: 5. In campo dal primo minuto, dopo l'infortunio. Molti cross sbagliati o fuori misura. Poca qualità.
DONADEL: 6. Combatte in mezzo al campo, almeno ci mette grinta. Ma la Fiorentina fatica soprattutto in mezzo al campo. Salva una rete sulla linea nel finale.
MONTOLIVO: 5. Si vede che non sta bene, che la caviglia gli provoca ancora dolore. Si impegna, lotta ma non può determinare. Nel finale l'espulsione per fallo da ultimo uomo, inevitabile.
CERCI: 4,5. Un paio di grandi azioni, poco fortunato però sotto rete. Poi molti palloni sbagliati, molta confusione e tanti nervosismo. Beccato in continuo dal pubblico. Gara da dimenticare.
31' st BOLATTI: sv.
LJAJIC: 5. Prova qualcosina, ma si vede pochissimo. Sbaglia il rigore decisivo che potrebbe portare al pareggio. Poi prende il palo dopo una grandissima girata.
MARCHIONNI: 5,5. Torna titolare, a causa del forfait di Vargas. Ci prova in un paio di occasioni con conclusioni da fuori. Non basta, Mihajlovic lo sostituisce al decimo della ripresa.
10'st SANTANA: 6,5. Entra in campo e mette in mezzo il cross per la rete di Gilardino. Riesce a dare la vivacità che manca alla squadra. Buona prestazione.
GILARDINO: 6,5. Una palla giocabile e una rete. Combatte e trova il gol che riapre la partita. Poi un grande colpo di testa ma Sirigu si supera con una parata strepitosa.
MIHAJLOVIC: 5,5. Deve fare a meno di Vargas, ma schiera comunque una Fiorentina offensiva. La Fiorentina parte bene, ma poi arriva l'eurogol di Ilicic che porta in vantaggio il Palermo. I viola vanno in bambola, concedono il 2 a 0 a Pastore e non trovano la forza di reagire. Poi ci pensa Gilardino ad accorciare le distanze e la gara si riapre. Ma Ljajic sbaglia il rigore decisivo. I viola spingono, ma rimangono in dieci. Finisce con un'altra sconfitta.

Sebastien Frey 6.0 Couldn’t really be held accountable on either goal as first he was beaten by a screamer and then left short-handed by his team-mates on the counter-attack.
Lorenzo De Silvestri 5.5
Started with purpose, but seemed to be caught between a rock and a hard place when attacked as Palermo often used the channels to go effect. Picked up a knock and was replaced before half-time by Comotto.
Alessandro Gamberini 5.5 Not displaying the form that made him a Nazionale contender once upon a time. Found it hard to come to grips with the aerial presence of Pinilla or the trickery of Ilicic and Pastore.
Per Billeskov Kroldrup 5.5 Struggled to come to terms with Palermo’s counter-attacks and was missing at vital times as the Viola tried to keep their heads about water.
Manuel Pasqual 5.0 A poor display by the full-back as he was constantly left wanting by Palermo’s attacking style down the channels.
Riccardo Montolivo 3.0
Where was his defensive quality? Where was his captain’s drive? Where was his passing ability? Surely he won’t make the Italy squad on this kind of form. Abject performance as he was overrun by Palermo’s midfield and then somehow let Bovo break on him before bringing the defender down for a certain red card.
Marco Donadel 6.0
Too often misplaced passes at a time when his side needed a cool head. Improved in the second half as the Viola came back into it but ultimately unable to have a positive influence.
Alessio Cercl 6.5 Could have done better when getting beyond Nocerino and firing within Sirigu’s reach at the near post. He was a constant danger as he continually tried to get in behind Balzaretti.
Adem Ljajic 6.0 Exerts a tremendous amount of influence in this new Fiorentina but will ultimately remember this game for Sirigu having denied him from the spot, and even more impressively from his turn and shot moments later.
Marco Marchionni 5.5
Made some progress down the left, but his lack of faith in his left foot ultimately cost him the chance to create a truly positive effect on the proceedings.
Alberto Gilardino 6.0 May well have scored a goal to bring his side back into it, but he seems to be less involved in games than ever for the most part. Has some way to go before he returns to the form of old.
Gianluca Comotto 5.5 Replaced De Silvestri before the break but had few answers to stem the tide as Palermo flowed forward at ease on the counter.
Mario Alberto Santana 6.5 Had an immediate impact after replacing Marchionni by getting to the bye-line and teeing up Gilardino for Fiorentina’s lifeline goal. Could also have had further assists had there being more will to gamble from his team-mates.
Mario Ariel Bolatti N/A Replaced Cerci after Montolivo’s sending-off to add further midfield strength.
