ARTUR Boruc wants a pay-off from Celtic before he agrees to his GBP 3million transfer to Fiorentina.

The Serie A club and Celtic agreed a fee on Monday morning and it was expected the Polish keeper would fly straight to Italy to thrash out personal terms with Fiorentina.

But Record Sport can reveal Boruc's representatives have told Celtic they want a "loyalty payment" before he agrees to switch to Italy.

The amount of money involved isn't clear but could be in the region of GBP 700,000.

Boruc, who cost Celtic GBP 650,000 in 2005, was due to earn around GBP 32,000 per week from Celts for the final 11 months on his contract.

A source close to the deal said: "At the moment, there is a stand-off but some form of compromise is expected to be reached in the next 48 hours."
