Groningen striker Marcus Berg is being chased by Fiorentina according to reports in Holland, the Serie A club are thought to be prepared to pay 17 million euros.
The 22-year-old striker was previously linked with Ajax who were willing to pay between 10 and 15 million euros. Fellow Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have also shown an interest.
On the transfer gossip, Berg told Swedish journalists: “I know there are a lot of rumours, It is obviously fun to be mentioned in this context, but I cannot go around and think too much about it as it could affect my game negatively. I see no limits as to how good I can be and would like to try to play at the highest level possible.”
The Swedish international has claimed eight goals in 12 games this season as well as four assists. Last season he scored 15 in 25 games. Berg, however, did miss the defeat to AZ Alkmaar on Friday night after he had been sent-off against Willem II the week before.
The in-form hitman is without an agent at the moment after not renewing the contract of Fabrice Picot.
