Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli had applauded Fiorentina's work in the transfer market during the summer after yet another player arrives at the club... Sergio Almiron is the latest addition to Cesare Prandelli's Viola squad with the new season just around the corner. The 27-year-old Argentinian midfielder has been sent on loan to Fiorentina from arch rivals Juventus following a relatively poor season in Turin.
The player's recent form has done nothing to dampen the spirits of ex-Parma and Roma coach Prandelli, though, who is keen to get Almiron into the swing of things at the Firenze-based club.
Full of enthusiasm about the capture, Prandelli said: “He is a player that we were following in the past, but then he went to Juve.
“He needs to recuperate physically, but once he is well he will be a great midfielder and very useful for us.”
These words will surely motivate stagnant player to give his best for the Viola and seek to repay Prandelli's faith in him.
