Buffon - 6.0: He may be the best goalkeeper on the planet, however this means little when he is surrounded by such incompetence. Was blameless on all three goals. Buffon looked completely disgusted at the final whistle and I can see a post-match outburst coming.
Zebina - 6.0: Easily Juve’s best defender, although this is hardly something to write home about. Did reasonably well going forward.
Legrottaglie - 3.5: Has impressed this season , however this was an afternoon to forget. At fault for Gobbi’s goal, and made numerous mistakes throughout the game. A horror-show.
Grygera – 4.0: A little steadier than his centre back partner, however still very, very poor. Lost Osvaldo on Fiorentina’s injury time winner and was sloppy.
Molinaro - 3.5: Given a real runaround by Santana, and made a number of schoolboy errors. This included allowing the ball to hysterically bounce over his head. Did create Camoranesi’s goal but his defensive inadequacies are simply embarrassing. If Molinaro is good enough to play for Juve then I am the Queen’s mother.
Camoranesi – 7.5: Easily Juve’s best player offensively. The only midfielder with any spark or creativity. Fantastic volleyed finish for his goal.
Sissoko - 6.0: Scored a wonderful bicycle kick to get Juve back in the game, but did little else. Has good energy and workrate but often runs around like a headless chicken. Juve have lost two and drawn one from the three games he has started since joining.
Zanetti – 5.0: Failed to make any impact on the game at all. This was not the Zanetti that has had a renaissance this season.
Palladino - 6.0: Still struggling to show his real quality. The blame clearly lies with Ranieri’s rigid 4-4-2 formation that doesn't allow him to express himself. Did have a strong end to the game however, bringing out a fine save from Frey.
Del Piero – 6.0: Started brightly with a couple of nutmegs in the first five minutes but then largely disappeared, although his set-piece delivery was excellent as usual.
Trezeguet - 4.0: The prolific Frenchman has struggled badly in recent games, and he was completely anonymous again this afternoon.
Subs: Nocerino 5.0, Iaquinta 6.0
Fiorentina
Frey - 5.0: Big mistake on Sissoko’s goal, mistiming his punch from a free-kick. Made a fine save from Palladino late in the game however.
Ujfalusi - 6.0: Solid if unspectacular. Was rarely troubled by Palladino, although he again showed his lack of quality going forward.
Kroldrup - 6.0: Relatively sound. Del Piero gave the impression early on that Kroldrup could be in for a tough afternoon, however this never materialized.
Gamberini – 8.0: Very impressive once again was the Italy international. Didn’t give Trezeguet a sniff, and made a brilliant goal-saving tackle on Iaquinta in injury time.
Gobbi - 6.5: Took his goal brilliantly after bursting forward from left back, and playing a one-two with Jorgensen before finishing with aplomb. Camoranesi caused him problems however in the defensive department.
Kuzmanovic – 6.5: Made some intelligent runs from midfield, however sometimes the occasion got the better of the Serbian youngster.
Donadel - 7.0: Won the centre midfield battle against Zanetti and Sissoko. The 24-year-old has good tactical awareness, and he used the ball intelligently.
Montolivo - 6.0: Montolivo has been one of the major disappointments in Serie A this season, failing to explode onto the scene like many thought he would. Today he showed improvement. Hit the post when he perhaps should have scored.
Santana – 7.0: Had the beating of Molinaro every time he picked up the ball, and his crosses caused havoc in the Juve defence. Tired after the break and was eventually substituted.
Pazzini – 6.0: Worked tirelessly all game, and made a number of intelligent runs, without really having too much success. His movement opened up the space for his team-mates to exploit.
Jorgensen - 6.5: Jorgensen was a tricky customer this afternoon and his perfectly weighted pass created Gobbi’s goal. Also sacrificed himself for the team
Gamberini – 8.0: Very impressive once again was the Italy international. Didn’t give Trezeguet a sniff, and made a brilliant goal-saving tackle on Iaquinta in injury time.
This cool
that goal-saving tackle in front of Iaquinta !
I LOVE GAMBERINI!
