Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino is confident of keeping star pair Sebastien Frey and Adrian Mutu.
Corvino said: "Ours is an ambitious project, also related to our ability to pay. We're still behind the big ones, but in a few years this gap will be reduced.
"Our plan will surely include Mutu and Frey, players crucial to our future."

Fiorentina chiefs are pessimistic over securing striker Christian Vieri to a new contract for next season.
Fiorentina coaching staff want the 34 year-old to go around again next term, but Viola sources admit the prospect of the veteran agreeing to a new deal is fading.

Ascoli president Roberto Benigni insists there's been no contact with Fiorentina over attacking midfielder Stefano Guberti.
"The last time I heard from Fiorentina was in January," said Benigni. "We met in Milan at the market headquarters, but even then little was said about Guberti."
