In the last press conference of the year, the Fiorentina coach traced a balance of the first part of the season and has indicated the future objectives: “I found back a very serene and motivated group. Now we shall work to improve further.”
Cesare Prandelli: “We have been working since yesterday, even though we found the snow, and this morning we have shovelled the ground so to be able to train, but apart from everything, the environment which I found back is very peaceful, even though during these Christmas holidays different news about us came out every day on the newspapers. With Toni we spoke jokingly in Spanish, and we know very well that it was just a news item to destabilize our routine, but it has not reached its aim. </P>
<>“There are components that make me think that we are working well and that we are using all our energies in the same direction. This is a club which wants to do football, a very fair team. With regards to the Vidic incident, everything can be commented by itself, therefore I don’t want to express any judgement. Whoever comes to Florence must arrive convinced and with the will to do well. </P>
<>“We want to continue doing well with humbleness and the knowledge that we can play an important second part of the season. Looking specifically, I must instead say that in January we shall have many games away from home and we must prepare ourselves very well to what will be waiting for us, both from a physical point of view as well as psychological. Up till now I’m very satisfied with the work that these lads are doing and I believe that there are still many margins of improvement and necessary time to grow further. The wish for 2006 is that of seeing many people at the stadium satisfied with our work.”</P>
