Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino scored an important 89th minute equalizer for Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and he could not be happier...
The Italian striker earned a point for his side when he collected Giampaolo Pazzini's headed flick on, holding off Olof Mellberg and prodding the ball past Gianluigi Buffon to tie the scores at 1-1 late in the match against Juventus.
The crowd erupted in joy when Gilardino scored and the former Parma striker was clearly appreciative: "I'm good. I must say thanks to everyone."
"It's always nice to celebrate and under the curve even more so. Now we have ten days off, then the championship will resume," said the forward who has been included in Marcello Lippi's national team squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Cyprus and Georgia.
Gilardino was constantly criticized for his lack of goal scoring at Milan, but he seems to have found the scoring touch again since rejoining former coach Cesare Prandelli from his Parma days at La Viola.
"I feel good physically and psychologically. I feel great confidence from the fans, companions, and the coach" he explained. "It is too bad because I also had some chances while it was 1-0, had I converted them we could have won the game."
Gila then spoke about his reunion with Prandelli and its effects, "Prandelli is very important to me, I have grown since my time at Parma, but that is also due to my teammates."
