Mehdi Benatia
The Moroccan has settled in well at the back and his superb defensive performance was rewarded with a goal, after he pounced on Inler’s rebound to score his second of the season. Authoritative.

Lucio
Does he ever tire? On a sodden pitch he was always perfectly positioned to block any danger from the Sampdoria forwards and still found time to make several dangerous surges up field to test Curci. Colossal.

Bostjan Cesar
While always a rock at the back the Slovenian also managed to get up field several times and was compensated for his efforts when he headed home Pellissier’s cross for the opener. Powerful.

Javier Zanetti
Moved up into midfield and never once let up the pace while forever pushing and prompting both his forwards and defenders. Also made several crucial tackles to stop Cassano and Co from making progress. Confident.

Marco Donadel

Alberto Aquilani
He’s given some real quality to the Juventus midfield. The Roman was Juve’s stand-out player in a game which they should have won at Bologna. Brains.

The young Brazilian was utterly magical and played an almost Ronaldinho type of performance. With his mazy runs, changes of pace, dashes through the narrowest of gaps, shots on goal and an assist, his game had everything. Enchanting.

Ezequiel Lavezzi
The Argentine wizard caused problems all night, going close on several occasions before scoring with an exquisite ball over Abbiati and the massed ranks of the Rossoneri defence. Bewitching.

Sergio Floccari
The former Genoa striker has made a real impact this term in the Biancocelesti’s rise to the top of the table. He made sure they stayed there with the opening goal and an assist for the second. Spirited.

Samuel Eto’o
Led from the front and unselfishly put his body on the line for the cause. Scored the vital equaliser by being, as usual, in the right place at the right time. Influential.

Coutinho: Sempre pericoloso e intelligente nel passaggio finale, veloce e tecnicamente adatto al nostro Campionato. Scaltro

Donadel: Rete importante per la Fiorentina e tanta sostanza a centrocampo, che non guasta mai nell'economia del gioco. Stakanovista

Portanova: Grande partita, dove mette la museruola a tutti gli attaccanti che passano dalla sua zona, non perde un colpo. Arcigno

Asamoah: Domina nel centrocampo e nella sue movenze sembra un Brasiliano, corsa e fosforo per un futuro Campione. Crescendo
